Who Are Us?

International Community Service Programme (ICOS) is the biggest and the highest-level programme organized by Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) through the Office of the Deputy Dean (Residential Management and Discipline) (RMDD). RMDD is the office responsible in operating trustees' committee (named Board of Trustees), assisted by all residential college (Mahallah) administered by CFS. Board of Trustees consists of 6 members.

For ICOS 2013, Mahallah Abu Bakar (MAB) is appointed to head the organizing committee of ICOS (named Steering Committee). Principal of MAB, Mr. Hasanul Basri Abdullah, leads the staff committee level; while the President, Mahallah Representative Committee (MRC) of MAB, Br. Muhammad Zaidan Roslan, heads the student committee level. Steering Committee contains 4 staffs appointed by RMDD and 25 students representing all Mahallah of CFS.

We are a non-profit voluntary entity, recognized by the Rectory and registered with the Centre for University Social Responsibility (CENSERVE); responsible to realize hope of Muslim community in Kampong Cham Province, Kingdom of Cambodia, to assist construction of a education resource centre – named Steug Trong Education Centre – in term of financial assistance and educational activities.

Besides that, we also are responsible to tell Malaysians and foreigners, especially Muslim peoples, about conditions of lifestyle, educational development and society progress in Cambodia, especially in the Kampong Cham Province.

Who Are You In Our Expectation?

As the responsible persons, we expect that you will be a part of us. All Malaysians and foreigners, especially Muslims, are kindly invited to take part in ICOS 2013. We welcomed physical, mental and spiritual supports from all in making ICOS 2013 a meaningful and blessed international Islamic programme.

We are seeking sincere and whole-hearted contributors – organizations and individuals – to contribute to ICOS. The contribution will be used, majorly for the construction of the education centre in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, that will be cost about Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) 100,000 [about Cambodia Riel (KHR) 130 million]. All can contribute through charity dinner or direct contribution.
